God I hate this bullshit. I love BA but when dudes do things like this; you know, air their laundry publicly? It makes me cringe. I can’t help but wonder, now after the Jefferson contract, if he’s demanding something stupid then crying online about it? The Vikings are a dumb fucking organization for signing Justin Jefferson to the contract they did. I don’t care that they have a rookie QB - the contract is so dumb. This can’t reasonably reset the WR market, right? Right??

In the video above Dave Lombardi does a good job breaking this down - and is 100% right - BA has zero leverage. You want that kind of money? Bye. Justin Jefferson’s new contract with the Minnesota Vikings at $140 million over four years significantly surpasses Tyreek Hill’s contract with the Miami Dolphins, which is valued at $120 million over the same period. Jefferson’s contract averages $35 million annually, while Hill’s averages $30 million per year. Additionally, Jefferson’s deal includes $110 million guaranteed, compared to Hill’s $72.2 million in total guarantees (Boardroom link and PlayerProfiler link). This makes Jefferson’s contract notably more lucrative in terms of both total value and guarantees. Does BA think he deserves more than Tyreek? I want to know what he’s asking for.

On a side note, the Ja’marr Chase contract negotiations next off-season are going to be incredible to watch.

This drama happens every year and it always gets worked out but it’s exhausting. Pay him or trade him - but is there a team that would trade for BA and then give him the extension he wants? The answer is likely no.
